Party of October 18

Every October 18, the entire International Family remembers another year of the founding of the Schoenstatt Movement. In Paraguay, the Tupãrenda Sanctuary in particular, which also commemorates its blessing anniversary on that date, is decked out as a party to receive more than 40,000 devotees and pilgrims from all over the country who come every year to celebrate the alliance day in the different celebrations. Many claim that it is the biggest celebration of the 18th in the whole world.

The organization of this party is coordinated by a team of volunteers who work several months in advance to offer all the comforts to the pilgrims, from the organization of the parking lot, the stands of the apostolic initiatives and the reception in the liturgical celebrations.

The José Kentenich Foundation manages the entire event and is in charge of covering the expenses with the income of the party: the collections and the food court.
